Thara works with hundreds of aspiring jazz musicians through community and public school programs, as well as through clinics and workshops. In this role, he is able to create opportunities for young people to excel in music by applying traditional learning methods and improvisational techniques. Thara motivates students to practice on their own, attend private lessons, and participate in independent music programs to round out their music education.

Make It Swing jazz clinics are designed to give middle school, high school and college level band students an opportunity to advance in their music studies, and develop a better understanding of the jazz art form. Whether your band is preparing for a big performance or festival, or you simply want your group to develop a tighter sound, our Make It Swing clinics can help.
